Privacy policy
How we use and protect information when you enquire about business energy or use this website.
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
energysearch.co.uk is a trading style of MediaBlanket Ltd. For information collected through this website, MediaBlanket Ltd is responsible for deciding how that information is used. You can contact us at hello@energysearch.co.uk or through our contact page.
Information we collect
- Business enquiry details: company name, premises address and postcode, business type, energy type, and any optional energy usage, spend, supplier or contract information you provide.
- Contact details: your name, work email address, telephone number and the contents of messages you send us.
- Account details for authorised dashboard users, such as email address and sign-in information handled by our authentication provider; and any text you enter into our AI energy advisor.
- Technical information needed to operate and protect the website, such as device or browser information and security logs. See our cookie policy for browser storage details.
- Where advertising measurement is permitted, public campaign codes (affID and subID) supplied in a link are stored with the enquiry to identify its source. Do not put personal information in campaign links. Advertising choices are recorded with a pseudonymous visitor reference, date, region and the notice shown; later withdrawal does not erase evidence of earlier choices.
Why we use it
Our usual lawful basis for handling enquiry information is our legitimate interest in responding to your business request and providing our comparison service, or taking steps at your request before a contract. Where applicable we rely on legal obligations, and we will seek consent where required for optional marketing or non-essential cookies. You can object to marketing at any time by emailing us.
- To respond to your enquiry, send a confirmation, prepare and discuss business energy options, and follow up on potentially relevant marketplace opportunities you have asked us to explore.
- To run our service, maintain enquiry records, protect the site, prevent misuse and handle complaints. If you use the AI advisor, your submitted text is processed by our AI service provider to generate a response; do not include sensitive personal information there.
- To meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.
Who receives your information?
Your enquiry is sent to our team at ab@supagroup.co.uk and stored in a restricted-access lead dashboard. We use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication and transactional email. If you ask us to source or arrange an offer, relevant business and energy details may be shared with energy suppliers or partners involved in obtaining that offer; we will explain any wider sharing before it happens. We do not sell your personal information as a list.
Security, location and retention
We restrict access to enquiry records and use security measures appropriate to the service, including protected sign-in for the lead dashboard and encrypted connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process data outside the UK; where required, appropriate legal safeguards apply.
We keep enquiry and correspondence records only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, legal and record-keeping purposes, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask about the retention period for your information using the contact details below.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, object to certain uses, or request a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Email hello@energysearch.co.uk to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with our response.
Advertising measurement and your choices
We use the Google Ads base tag for advertising measurement. Where permitted, Google receives cookie identifiers and page and device/browser information. We do not send names, email addresses or telephone numbers for customer matching, and personalised advertising is disabled. Completed-business-enquiry conversion reporting and conversion-based ad optimisation are not yet enabled; they require a separate conversion event configuration. See Google’s business data information at https://business.safety.google/privacy/.
Advertising measurement, including Google tag loading and campaign-code storage, is blocked until acceptance in the UK, EEA, Switzerland, Canada (because our country lookup cannot distinguish Quebec), and unknown regions. Elsewhere it may be permitted without a banner, but explicit refusals and applicable browser opt-outs are respected. Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept, reject or withdraw at any time. Withdrawal disables further advertising measurement and new campaign-code collection, including in other open tabs; codes already recorded with an enquiry remain subject to our enquiry retention and your rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our service or legal obligations change. The date above shows when this version was last updated.
