Our standards for fair, clear and responsible business energy comparisons as a third-party intermediary (TPI).

Clear identity and purpose
We identify ourselves as energysearch.co.uk, a trading style of MediaBlanket Ltd. We explain that we are an intermediary, not your energy supplier, and tell you why we are contacting you. We do not suggest that an enquiry obliges you to switch.
Honest comparisons
We distinguish indicative website estimates from actual supplier offers. We explain the assumptions behind a comparison and draw attention to relevant rates, standing charges, contract length and other material terms when discussing an offer. We do not promise a saving or present a particular supplier's deal as the whole market unless that can be substantiated.
No pressure or unauthorised action
We allow you time to consider your options and ask questions. We do not use misleading deadlines or pressure you to agree. We will not sign a supply agreement or claim authority to act for you merely because you submitted an enquiry. Any authority you choose to grant must be separately explained and agreed.
Fair treatment and payment transparency
We treat businesses fairly, including microbusinesses and those needing additional support. We explain that supplier commission may be included in an offer and will respond to requests about how we are paid for a relevant deal before you decide. If any separate service fee applies, it must be agreed in advance.
Information and records
We use business and contact information for the purpose of handling your enquiry and follow-up, in line with our privacy policy. We aim to keep an accurate record of material communications and correct mistakes promptly. We do not knowingly pass on inaccurate comparisons.
